कृशः प्रलंबः स्फुटितो रूक्षो दौर्भाग्यसूचकः । श्यावः स्थूलोऽधरोष्ठः स्याद्वैधव्य कलहप्रदः
kṛśaḥ pralaṃbaḥ sphuṭito rūkṣo daurbhāgyasūcakaḥ | śyāvaḥ sthūlo'dharoṣṭhaḥ syādvaidhavya kalahapradaḥ
അധരോഷ്ഠം ക്ഷീണവും അതിയായി നീളമുള്ളതും പൊട്ടിയതും വരണ്ടതുമായാൽ അത് ദൗർഭാഗ്യസൂചകമെന്ന് പറയുന്നു. കൂടാതെ കറുത്ത നിറവും കട്ടിയുമുള്ള അധരോഷ്ഠം വൈധവ്യവും കലഹവും നൽകുമെന്നു പറയുന്നു।
