प्रदेशिनी भवेद्यस्या अंगुष्ठाव्यतिरेकिणी । कन्यैव कुलटा सा स्यादेष एव विनिश्चयः
pradeśinī bhavedyasyā aṃguṣṭhāvyatirekiṇī | kanyaiva kulaṭā sā syādeṣa eva viniścayaḥ
ആരുടെ പ്രദേശിനി (തർജനി പാദവിരൽ) പെരുവിരലിനെക്കാൾ നീളം കൂടിയിരിക്കുമോ അവൾ ‘പ്രദേശിനി’ ആകുന്നു. അവൾ കന്യയായിരുന്നാലും കുലടയായി പറയപ്പെടുന്നു—ഇതുതന്നെ നിശ്ചയം.
