gṛhāśramātparaṃ nāsti yadi patnīvaśaṃvadā | ānukūlyaṃ hi daṃpatyostrivargodaya hetave

Translation

ഭാര്യയുടെ അധീനനായി മാറാതിരുന്നാൽ ഗൃഹാശ്രമത്തേക്കാൾ ഉന്നതം ഒന്നുമില്ല. ദമ്പതികളുടെ പരസ്പര അനുകൂലത തന്നെയാണ് ധർമ്മ-അർത്ഥ-കാമം എന്ന ത്രിവർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ വളർച്ചയ്ക്ക് കാരണം.
