अग्न्याधेयं पाकयज्ञानग्निष्टोमादिकान्मखान् । यः करोति वृतो यस्य स तस्यर्त्त्विगिहोच्यते

തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായി മറ്റൊരാളിനുവേണ്ടി അഗ്ന്യാധാനം, പാകയജ്ഞങ്ങൾ, അഗ്നിഷ്ടോമാദി മഖങ്ങൾ നിർവഹിക്കുന്നവൻ അവന്റെ ‘ഋത്വിക്’ (യാജകപുരോഹിതൻ) എന്നു ഇവിടെ പറയുന്നു.
