मातृमातृष्वसृस्वसृपितृस्वसृपुरःसराः । प्रथमं भिक्षणीयाः स्युरेतायाचन नो वदेत्

Transliteration

mātṛmātṛṣvasṛsvasṛpitṛsvasṛpuraḥsarāḥ | prathamaṃ bhikṣaṇīyāḥ syuretāyācana no vadet

Translation

ഭിക്ഷ ആദ്യം മാതാവിനോടും മാതൃസഹോദരിയോടും സഹോദരിയോടും പിതൃസഹോദരിയോടും, മുന്നിൽ നിന്നു കാവൽ നിൽക്കുന്ന മറ്റ് ജ്യേഷ്ഠസ്ത്രീകളോടും യാചിക്കണം. അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ ഭിക്ഷയാചനയിൽ ‘ഇല്ല’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ഒഴിവാക്കരുത്।
