तर्पिताः पितरो येन संप्राप्य मणिकर्णिकाम् । सप्तसप्त तथा सप्त पूर्वजास्तेन तारिताः

tarpitāḥ pitaro yena saṃprāpya maṇikarṇikām | saptasapta tathā sapta pūrvajāstena tāritāḥ

മണികർണികയെ പ്രാപിച്ച് പിതൃകളെ തർപ്പണംകൊണ്ട് തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവൻ, തന്റെ പൂർവ്വികരെ—ഏഴും ഏഴും പിന്നെയും ഏഴും തലമുറകളോളം—താരിക്കുന്നു।
