स्कंद उवाच । वाराणस्यां महाभाग यथा ते प्रेम वर्तते । तथा न कस्यचिन्मन्ये ततो वक्ष्याम्यशेषतः
skaṃda uvāca | vārāṇasyāṃ mahābhāga yathā te prema vartate | tathā na kasyacinmanye tato vakṣyāmyaśeṣataḥ
സ്കന്ദൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ മഹാഭാഗ്യവാനേ! വാരാണസിയോടു നിനക്കുള്ള പ്രേമംപോലെ മറ്റാരിലും ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഞാൻ കരുതുന്നില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് ഒന്നും വിട്ടൊഴിയാതെ എല്ലാം പൂർണ്ണമായി ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു.
