brahmalokastu lokānāṃ sarveṣāmuttamo yathā | saritāṃ sarasāṃ vāpi variṣṭhā jāhnavī tathā

എല്ലാ ലോകങ്ങളിലെയും ഏറ്റവും ഉത്തമം ബ്രഹ്മലോകം ആകുന്നതുപോലെ, നദികളിലും സരോവരങ്ങളിലുമെല്ലാം ജാഹ്നവീ ഗംഗ തന്നെയാണ് ശ്രേഷ്ഠതമേറിയത്।
