अष्टांगार्घो यमुद्दिष्टस्त्वतीव रवितोषणः । गांगैर्वार्भिः कोटिगुणो ज्ञेयो विष्णोऽन्यवारितः
aṣṭāṃgārgho yamuddiṣṭastvatīva ravitoṣaṇaḥ | gāṃgairvārbhiḥ koṭiguṇo jñeyo viṣṇo'nyavāritaḥ
ഉപദേശിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഈ അഷ്ടാംഗ അർഘ്യം സൂര്യനെ അത്യന്തം പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഗംഗാജലത്തോടെ അർപ്പിച്ചാൽ ഫലം കോടിഗുണമെന്നു—വിഷ്ണു നിർവിരോധമായി അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
