अष्टकृत्वो मंत्रजप्तैर्वस्त्रपूतैः सुगंधिभिः । प्रोचुर्गांगजलैः स्नानं घृतस्नानाधिकं बुधाः
aṣṭakṛtvo maṃtrajaptairvastrapūtaiḥ sugaṃdhibhiḥ | procurgāṃgajalaiḥ snānaṃ ghṛtasnānādhikaṃ budhāḥ
മന്ത്രജപംകൊണ്ട് പവിത്രമാക്കി, വസ്ത്രംകൊണ്ട് ചുരന്ന, സുഗന്ധമുള്ള ഗംഗാജലത്തിൽ എട്ടുതവണ സ്നാനം ചെയ്യുന്നത്—ഘൃതസ്നാനത്തേക്കാളും ശ്രേഷ്ഠമെന്ന് പണ്ഡിതർ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു।
