सर्वेभ्यः कारणेभ्यश्च परात्परतरं परम् । आनंदं ब्रह्मणो रूपं श्रुतयो यत्प्रचक्षते

sarvebhyaḥ kāraṇebhyaśca parātparataraṃ param | ānaṃdaṃ brahmaṇo rūpaṃ śrutayo yatpracakṣate

എല്ലാ കാരണങ്ങളെയും അതീതമായി, ‘അതീതം’ എന്നു പറയുന്നതിലും അതീതമായത് പരമം. ശ്രുതികൾ ആനന്ദം തന്നെയാണ് ബ്രഹ്മത്തിന്റെ സ്വരൂപമെന്ന് പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.
