yugānāṃ prathamosi tvaṃ tithīnāṃ tvaṃ kuhūrhyasi | puṣyosi nakṣatragaṇe saṃkramaḥ sarvaparvasu

Tirtha: Kāśī (parva-snānāni at Gaṅgā ghāṭas)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A cosmic calendar mandala around Kāśīnātha: concentric rings show yugas, tithis (Kuhū as a dark-moon arc), nakṣatras (Puṣya as a star cluster), and saṅkrānti gates; below, pilgrims bathe at Gaṅgā on a saṅkrānti day.
Sacred time—yugas, tithis, nakṣatras, and festival transitions—derives its sanctity from the Lord who presides over all.
Kāśī, where time itself is viewed through the Lord’s presence and worship.
No specific ritual is commanded; calendrical sanctities (parvas, saṅkrama) are invoked to intensify devotional observance.
