इति व्याकुलिते लोके सुरासुरनरोरगे । आःकिमेतदकांडेभूद्रुरुदुर्दुद्रुवुः प्रजाः
iti vyākulite loke surāsuranarorage | āḥkimetadakāṃḍebhūdrurudurdudruvuḥ prajāḥ
ഇങ്ങനെ ദേവന്മാര്, അസുരന്മാര്, മനുഷ്യര്, നാഗങ്ങള് എന്നിവരോടുകൂടി ലോകം വ്യാകുലമായി. ‘അയ്യോ! ഇത് അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി എന്തു സംഭവിച്ചു?’ എന്നു കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് പ്രജകള് അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും ഓടി.
