purā tapasyataḥ śaṃbhordākṣāyaṇyā viyogataḥ | bhālasthalātpapātaikaḥ svedabiṃdurmahītale

Translation

പുരാതനകാലത്ത്, ദാക്ഷായണിയുടെ വിരഹത്തിൽ ശംഭു തപസ്സിലിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നെറ്റിയിൽ നിന്ന് വിയർപ്പിന്റെ ഒരു തുള്ളി ഭൂമിതലത്തിലേക്ക് വീണു.
