विततेऽत्र जगत्यखिलेऽघहरं हर तोषणमेव परं गुणवन् । गुणहीनमहीन महावलयं प्रलयांतकमीश नतोस्मि ततः
vitate'tra jagatyakhile'ghaharaṃ hara toṣaṇameva paraṃ guṇavan | guṇahīnamahīna mahāvalayaṃ pralayāṃtakamīśa natosmi tataḥ
ഈ വിശാല ലോകത്തിൽ, ഹരാ! സർവ്വപാപഹരനായ നിന്നെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കലാണ് ഗുണവാന്മാർക്കുള്ള പരമ ശ്രേയസ്. ഹേ ഈശാ! ഗുണങ്ങളുടെ അഭാവം കൊണ്ടും നീ ക്ഷീണിക്കുന്നില്ല; നീ മഹാവലയം, പ്രളയാന്തകൻ—അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിനക്കു നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നു।
