अंधकांधकहंत्रोर्वै वर्तमाने महाहवे । इत्थं नाम्नाभवच्छुक्रः स वै भार्गवनंदनः
Transliteration
aṃdhakāṃdhakahaṃtrorvai vartamāne mahāhave | itthaṃ nāmnābhavacchukraḥ sa vai bhārgavanaṃdanaḥ
Translation
അന്ധകനും അവന്റെ സംഹാരകനും തമ്മിൽ മഹായുദ്ധം നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ, ഭൃഗുവംശജനായ ആ പുത്രൻ ഇങ്ങനെ ‘ശുക്രൻ’ എന്ന നാമം പ്രാപിച്ചു.
