अपश्यंत्यंकुरमपि संततेः स्वर्गसाधनम् । विज्ञाय शंकंरं कांतं प्रणिपत्य व्यजिज्ञपत्
apaśyaṃtyaṃkuramapi saṃtateḥ svargasādhanam | vijñāya śaṃkaṃraṃ kāṃtaṃ praṇipatya vyajijñapat
സന്തതി—സ്വർഗസാധനമെന്നു കരുതപ്പെടുന്നത്—അതിന്റെ മുളപോലും കാണാതെ, അവൾ പ്രിയ ശങ്കരനെ (ഭർത്താവിനെ) സമീപിച്ച് നമസ്കരിച്ചു തന്റെ അപേക്ഷ അറിയിച്ചു।
