punnāgamiva punnāgapallavaiḥkarapallavaiḥ | kalayaṃtamivā'lolairmallikāstabakastanam

Translation

പുന്നാഗ വൃക്ഷം തന്റെ কোমല പല്ലവ-കരങ്ങളാൽ, അലോലമായി, മല്ലിക (മുല്ല) പുഷ്പസ്തബക-സ്തനങ്ങളെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നി।
