ततो जघान संकुद्धो लक्ष्मणः कृतलक्षणः । कुवेरप्रेषितजलैः पवित्रीकृतलोचनः

tato jaghāna saṃkuddho lakṣmaṇaḥ kṛtalakṣaṇaḥ | kuverapreṣitajalaiḥ pavitrīkṛtalocanaḥ

അപ്പോൾ ക്രോധത്തോടെ ജ്വലിച്ചും ലക്ഷ്യത്തിൽ ദൃഢനുമായ ലക്ഷ്മണൻ അവനെ പ്രഹരിച്ചു—കുബേരൻ അയച്ച ജലങ്ങളാൽ പവിത്രമായ കണ്ണുകളോടെ.
