वरं चान्यं प्रदास्यामो वरय त्वं महामते । एवमुक्तः सुरैः सोयमर्वावसुरभाषत

varaṃ cānyaṃ pradāsyāmo varaya tvaṃ mahāmate | evamuktaḥ suraiḥ soyamarvāvasurabhāṣata

ദേവന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞു—‘ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്ക് മറ്റൊരു വരവും നൽകാം; ഹേ മഹാമതേ, വരം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക.’ ഇങ്ങനെ ദേവന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അർവാവസു മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു॥
