पुण्यं पवित्रं पापघ्नं ब्रह्महत्यादिशोधकम् । यः पठेदिममध्यायं शृणुयाद्वा समाहितः

puṇyaṃ pavitraṃ pāpaghnaṃ brahmahatyādiśodhakam | yaḥ paṭhedimamadhyāyaṃ śṛṇuyādvā samāhitaḥ

ഇത് പുണ്യപ്രദം, പവിത്രം, പാപനാശകം; ബ്രഹ്മഹത്യാദി പാപങ്ങളെയും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നതാണ്. ആരെങ്കിലും ഏകാഗ്രചിത്തത്തോടെ ഈ അധ്യായം പാരായണം ചെയ്യുകയോ ശ്രവിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ—
