ब्राह्मण्याद्धीयते विप्रः शूद्रो धर्माच्च हीयते । धर्मोपदेशः शूद्राणां स्वश्रेयः प्रतिघातयेत्

Transliteration

brāhmaṇyāddhīyate vipraḥ śūdro dharmācca hīyate | dharmopadeśaḥ śūdrāṇāṃ svaśreyaḥ pratighātayet

Translation

വിപ്രൻ ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യാചാരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വഴുതിയാൽ ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു; ശൂദ്രൻ തന്റെ ധർമ്മത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വഴുതിയാൽ ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു. ശൂദ്രർക്കു ധർമ്മോപദേശം നൽകുന്നത് സ്വന്തം ശ്രേയസ്സിന് തടസ്സമെന്നു പറയപ്പെടുന്നു.
