ब्राह्मणं प्राहुरतिथिं संपूज्य शक्तितो बुधैः । न पृछेत्तत्राचरणं स्वाध्यायं चापि पंडितः
brāhmaṇaṃ prāhuratithiṃ saṃpūjya śaktito budhaiḥ | na pṛchettatrācaraṇaṃ svādhyāyaṃ cāpi paṃḍitaḥ
ബുധന്മാർ ബ്രാഹ്മണനെയാണ് ‘അതിഥി’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു. കഴിവനുസരിച്ച് അവനെ പൂജിച്ച്, പണ്ഡിതനായ ഗൃഹസ്ഥൻ അവിടെ അവന്റെ ആചാരമോ സ്വാധ്യായമോ കുറിച്ച് ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യരുത്.
