तुष्टः शंभुस्तदा तस्मा उवाचेदं वचः शुभम् । वरं वृणु महाभाग यत्ते मनसि वर्त्तते
tuṣṭaḥ śaṃbhustadā tasmā uvācedaṃ vacaḥ śubham | varaṃ vṛṇu mahābhāga yatte manasi varttate
അപ്പോൾ പ്രസന്നനായ ശംഭു അവനോട് ഈ ശുഭവചനങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു— “മഹാഭാഗ്യവാനേ! നിന്റെ മനസ്സിലുള്ള വരം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക।”
