चातुर्विद्यास्तथा प्रोक्ता अन्योन्यं वृत्तिमाश्रिताः । सत्रिभागास्तु त्रैविद्याश्चतुर्भागास्तु चात्रिणः
cāturvidyāstathā proktā anyonyaṃ vṛttimāśritāḥ | satribhāgāstu traividyāścaturbhāgāstu cātriṇaḥ
“ഇങ്ങനെ ചാതുര്വിദ്യർ പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ പരസ്പരം ഉപജീവനത്തിൽ ആശ്രിതരായിരുന്നു. ത്രൈവಿದ್ಯർക്കു മൂന്നു പങ്ക്, ചാത്രിണർക്കു നാലു പങ്ക് നിശ്ചയിച്ചു.”
