vedādhyayanaśīlāśca paracchidraikadarśinaḥ | sāmarṣā laulyato hīnā dveṣiṇaḥ kuṭilāstathā

അവർ വേദാധ്യയനത്തിൽ നിഷ്ഠയുള്ളവർ; എന്നാൽ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ ദോഷം മാത്രം കാണുന്നവർ. അവർ കോപസഹിതർ, ചാഞ്ചല്യമില്ലാത്തവർ; കൂടാതെ ദ്വേഷികളും കപടരുമാണ്.
