स्तुत्वा वाचाथ रामं हि त्वयि नाथे नु सांप्रतम् । शून्या वर्ते चिरं कालं यथा दोषस्तथैव हि
stutvā vācātha rāmaṃ hi tvayi nāthe nu sāṃpratam | śūnyā varte ciraṃ kālaṃ yathā doṣastathaiva hi
ഇങ്ങനെ സ്തുതിച്ച് (ദേവത) രാമനോട് പറഞ്ഞു—“ഇപ്പോൾ നീ എന്റെ നാഥനായിട്ടും, ഞാൻ ദീർഘകാലമായി ശൂന്യവും നിർജ്ജനവുമായിത്തന്നെ തുടരുന്നു; മുമ്പെങ്ങനെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നോ അതുപോലെ തന്നെ ദോഷപീഡിതാവസ്ഥയിൽ।”
