തൃതീയ തിഥി മുതൽ സപ്തമി വരെ—ഈ അഞ്ചുദിവസങ്ങളിൽ—ഔഷധസസ്യങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിനാൽ പ്രധാനമായും ആഹാരഗ്രഹണം നടന്നു.
