रामेण तुमुले युद्धे रावणो द्रावितो रणात् । पञ्चम्या अष्टमी यावद्रावणेन प्रबोधितः

Transliteration

rāmeṇa tumule yuddhe rāvaṇo drāvito raṇāt | pañcamyā aṣṭamī yāvadrāvaṇena prabodhitaḥ

Translation

ഘോരയുദ്ധത്തിൽ ശ്രീരാമൻ രാവണനെ रणഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്ന് പിന്തിരിപ്പിച്ചു. പഞ്ചമിയിൽ നിന്ന് അഷ്ടമിവരെ രാവണന്റെ പ്രേരണയാൽ അവൻ വീണ്ടും യുദ്ധോത്സാഹത്തോടെ ഉണർന്നു.
