tapovighnaṃ prakurvaṃtu mamājñā tatra gamyatām | indrasya vacanaṃ śrutvā urvaśī ca tilottamā
Indra (first sentence); Narrator (second sentence reporting their hearing)
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Scene: Indra issues an order to obstruct the austerity; Urvaśī and Tilottamā—radiant apsarases—prepare to depart toward the forest, embodying beauty used as a strategic distraction.
Austerity invites tests; steadfastness in dharma is shown by resisting distractions and remaining focused on spiritual aim.
Dharmāraṇya, the sacred setting where tapas is so powerful that Indra seeks to disrupt it.
None; the verse narrates an attempted disruption (tapo-vighna), not a recommended rite.
