विष्णुरुवाच । अनेनैव तु मंत्रेण ममाग्रे सुरसत्तम । क्षीणे चंद्रे चतुर्द्दश्यां नभस्ये पिंडमाहरेत्
viṣṇuruvāca | anenaiva tu maṃtreṇa mamāgre surasattama | kṣīṇe caṃdre caturddaśyāṃ nabhasye piṃḍamāharet
വിഷ്ണു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ ദേവശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! ഇതേ മന്ത്രം കൊണ്ടു, എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ, നഭസ്യ മാസത്തിലെ ക്ഷീണചന്ദ്രയുക്ത ചതുര്ദശിയിൽ പിണ്ഡം അർപ്പിക്കണം।
