vacanānmama deveṃdra brahmaṇaḥ keśavasya ca | yamasya vacanājjiṣṇo hatyā naivātra tiṣṭhati | praviśya tvaṃ mahārāja atotra snānamācara
Śiva (Hara)
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya-snānātīrtha (within Dharmāraṇya)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Indra (Devendra/Jiṣṇu) and addressed ‘mahārāja’ (king) within the frame
Scene: Śiva (as authoritative protector) instructs Indra/Jiṣṇu and a king to enter Dharmāraṇya and bathe; the tīrtha glows with sanctity, attendants and sages witness the decree of sinlessness.
Purification is supported by cosmic order: when the devas uphold a kṣetra’s sanctity, sincere ritual action there becomes a powerful means of expiation.
Dharmāraṇya is affirmed as a place where ‘hatyā’ (sin of killing) cannot remain.
Enter the sacred area and perform snāna (ritual bathing) there.
