brahmāpi tapasā yuktastepe varṣaśatatrayam | tiṣṭhanneva puro viṣṇorviṣṇumāyāvimohitaḥ

ബ്രഹ്മാവും തപസ്സിൽ യുക്തനായി മൂന്നു നൂറു വർഷം തപസ്സു ചെയ്തു—വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നിട്ടും, വിഷ്ണുമായയാൽ വിമോഹിതനായി തുടരുകയായിരുന്നു।
