brahmāṃḍāni sahasrāṇi dṛśyaṃte ca mahādyute | na vetti vedo yatpāraṃ śīrṣaghāto hi vai katham

ഹേ മഹാദ്യുതേ! ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ബ്രഹ്മാണ്ഡങ്ങൾ ദൃശ്യമാണ്. ആരുടെ പരമപരിധി വേദത്തിനും അറിയാനാകുന്നില്ലയോ, അവിടെ ‘ശിരോഘാതം’—അഥവാ അന്തിമ അറ്റം എത്തുക—എങ്ങനെ സാധ്യം?
