yajñāṃte ca suraśreṣṭhaṃ namaskṛtya divaṃ yayau | etacca kāraṇaṃ viddhi hayānano yato hariḥ
Vyāsa (continuing narration)
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: At the sacrifice’s end, Brahmā bows to the foremost god (Hari/Viṣṇu), then ascends to heaven; a subtle caption-like emphasis that this act explains the epithet ‘Hayānana’.
Purāṇas preserve sacred causes behind divine names—remembering these stories strengthens devotion and understanding of dharma.
Dharmāraṇya is the implied sacred region; its greatness is shown through yajña and the Lord’s celebrated epithet arising in that context.
No direct prescription; it references the proper closure of a yajña and reverential salutations at its completion.
