ईश्वर उवाच । अत्र नारायणो देवस्तपस्तेपे सुदुष्करम् । दिव्यवर्षशतं त्रीणि जातः सुष्ठ्वाननश्च सः
īśvara uvāca | atra nārāyaṇo devastapastepe suduṣkaram | divyavarṣaśataṃ trīṇi jātaḥ suṣṭhvānanaśca saḥ
ഈശ്വരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇവിടെ ദേവനായ നാരായണൻ അത്യന്തം ദുഷ്കരമായ തപസ്സു ചെയ്തു. മൂന്നു നൂറ് ദിവ്യവർഷങ്ങൾ നിലകൊണ്ട്, അത്യുത്തമ മുഖത്തോടെ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.
