प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं वागीशं प्रोचुरादरात् । देवदेव महाविष्णुं कथयस्व प्रसादतः
praṇamya śirasā devaṃ vāgīśaṃ procurādarāt | devadeva mahāviṣṇuṃ kathayasva prasādataḥ
അവർ എല്ലാവരും ശിരസ്സു നമിച്ച് ദൈവമായ വാഗീശനെ ഭക്തിയോടെ അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചു—‘ദേവദേവാ! പ്രസാദത്തോടെ മഹാവിഷ്ണുവിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ഞങ്ങളോട് പറയണമേ।’
