शिशुमेनं समुद्धृत्य पुष्णाम्यौरसवद्ध्रुवम् । किं त्वविज्ञातकुलजं नोत्सहे स्प्रष्टुमुत्तमम्
śiśumenaṃ samuddhṛtya puṣṇāmyaurasavaddhruvam | kiṃ tvavijñātakulajaṃ notsahe spraṣṭumuttamam
ഈ ശിശുവിനെ എടുത്തുയർത്തി ഞാൻ തീർച്ചയായും എന്റെ സ്വന്തം പുത്രനെപ്പോലെ പോഷിപ്പിക്കും. എന്നാൽ അജ്ഞാതകുലത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച ഈ ഉത്തമ ശിശുവിനെ സ്പർശിക്കാൻ എനിക്ക് ധൈര്യമില്ല.
