नोपोषिता शिवतिथिर्न कृतं शिवपूजनम् । भूतसौहृदं न जानाति न च बिल्वशिवार्पणम् । नेष्टापूर्तादिकं वापि कथमेनां निनीषथ
nopoṣitā śivatithirna kṛtaṃ śivapūjanam | bhūtasauhṛdaṃ na jānāti na ca bilvaśivārpaṇam | neṣṭāpūrtādikaṃ vāpi kathamenāṃ ninīṣatha
അവൾ ശിവന്റെ പുണ്യ തിഥികളിൽ ഉപവാസം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ശിവപൂജയും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. ജീവികളോടുള്ള സൗഹൃദ-കരുണ അവൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ബിൽവപത്രങ്ങൾ ശിവനു അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല. ഇഷ്ട-പൂർത്താദി പുണ്യകർമ്മങ്ങളും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല—അപ്പോൾ അവളെ പരമപദത്തിലേക്ക് എങ്ങനെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുമെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു?
