iti sā dṛḍhanirbaṃdhā vāryamāṇāpi baṃdhubhiḥ | satyalopabhayānnārī prāṇāṃstyaktuṃ mano dadhe

ഇങ്ങനെ, ബന്ധുക്കൾ തടഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവൾ ദൃഢനിശ്ചയത്തോടെ അചഞ്ചലയായി നിന്നു. സത്യലംഘനഭയത്താൽ ആ സ്ത്രീ പ്രാണത്യാഗം ചെയ്യാൻ മനസ്സുറപ്പിച്ചു.
