शबर्युवाच । एतावदेव साफल्यं जीवितस्य च जन्मनः । परार्थे यस्त्यजेत्प्राणाञ्छिवार्थे किमुत स्वयम्

ശബരി പറഞ്ഞു: മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് വേണ്ടി ജീവൻ ത്യജിക്കുന്നതാണ് ജീവിതത്തിൻ്റെയും ജന്മത്തിൻ്റെയും വിജയം; അപ്പോൾ സാക്ഷാൽ ശിവന് വേണ്ടി ആകുമ്പോൾ പറയേണ്ടതുണ്ടോ!
