मध्यमानामिकांगुल्योर्मध्ये तु प्रतिलोमतः । अंगुष्ठेन कृता रेखा त्रिपुंड्रस्याभिधीयते
madhyamānāmikāṃgulyormadhye tu pratilomataḥ | aṃguṣṭhena kṛtā rekhā tripuṃḍrasyābhidhīyate
മധ്യമയും അനാമികയും വിരലുകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ, പ്രതിലോമദിശയിൽ അങ്കുഷ്ഠം കൊണ്ട് വരയ്ക്കുന്ന രേഖയെയാണ് ത്രിപുണ്ഡ്രത്തിന്റെ രേഖ എന്നു പറയുന്നു।
