हन्यमानोऽस्त्रपूगेन रिपुभिर्युद्धदुर्मदैः । न चचाल रणे धीरः शिववर्माभिरक्षितः
hanyamāno'strapūgena ripubhiryuddhadurmadaiḥ | na cacāla raṇe dhīraḥ śivavarmābhirakṣitaḥ
യുദ്ധമദത്തിൽ മത്തായ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ആയുധവർഷത്തിൽ പ്രഹരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടും, ശിവകവചം കാത്ത ആ ധീരൻ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ഒട്ടും കുലുങ്ങിയില്ല।
