तदिदा॑स॒ भुव॑नेषु॒ ज्येष्ठं॒ यतो॑ ज॒ज्ञ उ॒ग्रस्त्वे॒षनृ॑म्णः । स॒द्यो ज॑ज्ञा॒नो नि रि॑णाति॒ शत्रू॒ननु॒ यं विश्वे॒ मद॒न्त्यूमा॑ः ॥

Transliteration

tád ídāsa bhuváneṣu jyéṣṭhaṃ yáto jajñá ugrás tvéṣa-nṛ́mṇaḥ | sadyó jajñānó ní riṇāti śátrūn ánu yáṃ víśve mádanty ū́māḥ ||

Translation

അതാണ് ലോകങ്ങളിൽ ജ്യേഷ്ഠം; അതിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഉഗ്രനും ത്വേഷ-നൃമ്ണ (പ്രകാശമുള്ള പുരുഷബലം) ഉള്ളവനും ജനിച്ചത്. ഇപ്പോഴേ ജനിച്ചവൻ ഉടൻ തന്നെ ശത്രുക്കളെ താഴ്ത്തുന്നു—അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ച് എല്ലാ ഉമാഃ (ഉല്ലാസിത ശക്തികൾ) ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
