भैरवो नववक्त्रश्च कपिलश्च मुनिः स्मृतः । दुर्गा वात दधिष्ठात्री नवरूपा महेश्वरी

bhairavo navavaktraśca kapilaśca muniḥ smṛtaḥ | durgā vāta dadhiṣṭhātrī navarūpā maheśvarī

അവൻ ഭൈരവൻ, നവവക്ത്രൻ, മുനി കപിലൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. അവൾ ദുർഗ്ഗ—വാതം (പ്രാണവായു) എന്നതിന്റെ അധിഷ്ഠാത്രി, ധാരണ-പോഷണം ചെയ്യുന്നവൾ, ഒൻപതു രൂപങ്ങളിൽ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്ന മഹേശ്വരി.
