Rudrākṣa Māhātmya — The Greatness of Rudraksha

छिन्नं खंडितं भिन्नं विदीर्ण । ततो वैश्यैर्धार्यं प्रतिदिवसभावश्यकमहो तथा कृष्णं शूद्रै ः श्रुतिगदितमार्गोयमगजे

chinnaṃ khaṃḍitaṃ bhinnaṃ vidīrṇa | tato vaiśyairdhāryaṃ pratidivasabhāvaśyakamaho tathā kṛṣṇaṃ śūdrai ḥ śrutigaditamārgoyamagaje

അത് മുറിഞ്ഞാലും, പൊട്ടിയാലും, ഖണ്ഡിതമായാലും, പിളർന്നാലും—അപ്പോൾ വൈശ്യർ അത് പ്രതിദിനാവശ്യ കർമമായി കരുതി വീണ്ടും പുതുക്കി വിധിപൂർവ്വം ധരിക്കണം. അതുപോലെ, ഹേ അഗജ (ഗണേശ), ശൂദ്രരും ശ്രുതിയിൽ പ്രസ്താവിച്ച മാർഗ്ഗം അനുസരിച്ച് അതിന്റെ ലളിതമായ ‘കൃഷ്ണ’ (സാധാരണ) രൂപം ധരിക്കണം.
