यथा स्वविषये राजा सारं गृह्णाति यत्करम् । यथा मनुष्याः सस्यादीन्दग्ध्वा सारं भजंति वै

Transliteration

yathā svaviṣaye rājā sāraṃ gṛhṇāti yatkaram | yathā manuṣyāḥ sasyādīndagdhvā sāraṃ bhajaṃti vai

Translation

രാജാവ് തന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ നികുതിയായി സാരഭാഗം സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, മനുഷ്യർ വിളവാദികളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ച് സാരം മാത്രം എടുക്കുന്നതുപോലെ; അതുപോലെ ജ്ഞാനികൾ അസാരം വിട്ട് സാരമായ ശിവതത്ത്വം ഗ്രഹിക്കണം.
