पुष्ट्यर्थं चैव रक्षार्थं वारं कल्पितवान्प्रभुः । आयुष्करं ततो वारमायुषां कर्तुरेव हि

പോഷണത്തിനും രക്ഷയ്ക്കുമായി പ്രഭു ആ പ്രത്യേക വാരദിനത്തിൽ വ്രതം നിശ്ചയിച്ചു. അതുകൊണ്ട് ആ വാരദിനം തന്നെ ആയുസ്സുനൽകുന്നതാകുന്നു; ആയുസ്സുകളുടെ കർത്താവായ പ്രഭുവാൽ തന്നെയാണ് അത് സ്ഥാപിതമായത്।
