Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya, within the Umāsaṃhitā narrative)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: creative
It presents feminine power as a dynamic, transformative Shakti—“like a great flame”—indicating energy that can illumine and purify when guided by dharma and devotion.
By describing creation through distinct qualities (guṇas), the verse supports Saguna understanding: devotees approach Shiva with attributes and power (Shakti) manifest in the world, even while Shiva ultimately transcends the guṇas.
Meditate on Shiva-Shakti unity with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), contemplating inner “fire” as purification—supported by Shaiva disciplines like bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and steady mantra practice.
