बाणासुरस्य शङ्करस्तुतिः तथा युद्धयाचनम् | Bāṇāsura’s Praise of Śiva and Petition for Battle
दोस्सहस्रं त्वया दत्तं परं भाराय मेऽभवेत् । त्रिलोक्यां प्रतियोद्धारं न लभे त्वदृते समम्
dossahasraṃ tvayā dattaṃ paraṃ bhārāya me'bhavet | trilokyāṃ pratiyoddhāraṃ na labhe tvadṛte samam
നീ നൽകിയ ആയിരം ഭുജങ്ങളുടെ വരം എനിക്ക് മഹാഭാരമായി തോന്നുന്നു. ത്രിലോകത്തിലും നിനക്കു തുല്യനായ പ്രതിയോധനെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ല; നിന്നെ ഒഴികെ ആരും സമൻ അല്ല.
